Client: 1994 Group University
Role: Director of Information Services
Salary: £80,000
Typical Head Hunter Cost: £26,400 (assuming 33% placement fee based on salary)
Smart Public Cost: £15,000 + VAT for 25 days research a saving of 43%

 

Following a full briefing from the University’s Registrar & Secretary and the Director of
Human Resources and Staff Development, a target list consisting of 60 universities in the
UK and Australia was agreed. Relevant individuals were then identified at Director level as
well as their direct reports. The names of those individuals already known to the client
were subsequently rejected before formal approach work commenced. In total, 68
individuals were approached for the role and 29 CVs were received. A long list was
compiled and from this four candidates were invited to interview. An appointment was
then made.

 

Client: Education Partnership Organisation
Role: Centre Director
Salary: £70,000
Typical Head Hunter Cost: £23,100 (assuming 33% placement fee based on salary)

Following a briefing by the company’s Chairman and Managing Director (UK Operations)
a target list consisting of 70 organisations was agreed (including UK universities and
private sector language schools). Relevant individuals within these organisations were
then identified. The names of those individuals already known to the client were rejected
before formal approach work commenced. In total, 13 individuals were approached for
the role. Following long listing, four candidates were invited to interview. An appointment
was then made.

Role: General Manager, Campus Services

Following a full briefing given by the University’s Head of Campus Services, a target list
consisting of 70 public and private sector organisations was agreed. Relevant individuals
were then identified. Following the presentation of the Identification Report, the names of
those individuals already known to the client were rejected prior to the commencement
of formal approaches. In total, 60 individuals were approached for the role and eight CVs
were received and five people were interviewed by the client, one returning for a second
interview before an appointment was made.

Role: Regeneration and New Business Manager
Salary: £45,000

Following a joint briefing from the Director of Investment & Regeneration and the
Personnel Manager a target list consisting of 54 organisations was agreed (including
builders/developers, councils, housing associations and NDCs). Relevant individuals
within these organisations were then identified. The names of those individuals already
known to the client were subsequently rejected before formal approach work
commenced. In total, 59 individuals were approached for the role, 12 CVs were received
and six were forwarded to the client. Four individuals were subsequently interviewed and
