The Write Research Company’s people strategy is simply to ‘develop and maintain a performance orientated culture’ and productivity comes from the investment in those people for the benefits of the individual and the company. We take great pride in our people and we are glad this has been recognized by the Investors In People standard.

 

Continued clarification & communication of our business strategy throughout the company.

We continually review our business strategy and objectives in order to ensure that we are on track to achieve them. But, in doing this great emphasis is also placed on ensuring that our annual business plans are communicated throughout the company to all employees. Reviews and appraisals take place at regular intervals at both strategic and operational levels to check on progress.

 

Recruitment and development of employees through our Talent Academy

Recruiting and retaining talented and motivated individuals has been crucial to us. In order to help us in this task we took the decision at the end of 2005 to establish what has now become know as our Talent Academy. Our vision for our Talent Academy is to recruit and develop the brightest graduates from the UK university system. The Talent Academy helps to induct and orientate new recruits with regards to the company’s vision, mission and business philosophy whilst also providing them with the necessary knowledge and tools they will require in the new roles.

The establishment of a sound strategy and a coherent business structure is not enough. What analysts and investors are also examining is whether there is a process in place to implement a solid foundation of appropriate skills and behaviours. As a result we have placed a great deal of emphasis on developing the people within the business in order to motivate them and provide them with the necessary skills with which to undertake their roles.
